The Aghabullogue U21 Footballers were unfortunate to lose out to Eire Og in the Mid Cork A Championship Semi Final on Saturday, 10th March. Aghabullogue started the stronger and had four points on the score board before Eire Og recorded their first point of the game. The Aghabullogue scores came courtesy of John Corkery (0-02), Pat Walsh and Michael O'Sullivan. Aidan Barry Murphy, John Corkery, Pat Walsh and Evan O'Sullivan added a point each for Aghabullogue and with Eire Og adding a further five points, at half time the scoreboard read 0-08 to 0-06 in favour of Aghabullogue.

Eire Og emerged as a different team for the start of the second half and scored a total of 1-04 without reply. John Corkery and Michael O'Sullivan did then add a point each for the men in green and white but Eire Og added another point to their tally. Aghabullogue then upped the ante and scored five points without reply, with points from John Corkery 0-03 and Michael O'Sullivan 0-02. This saw Aghabullogue one point ahead, however it was not to be for Aghabullogue as Eire Og went on to score two further points, which saw then run out as winners by the narrowest of margins. The final score line read 1-13 to 0-15 in favour of Eire Og.
