05/04/2008  Aghabullogue  0-09   Ballyvourney  0-07

The U21 footballers won themselves a place in the Mid Cork U21 Football final following a great victory over Ballyvourney on Saturday 5th April in Inchigeela. Aghabullogue got off to a super start, with a left legged point from Pa Finnegan and a free from John Murphy. Ballyvourney then kicked 4 points in return before John Murphy pointed a free for Aghabullogue. Ballyvourney then followed this with another point before the half time whistle, leaving the scoreline 0-05 to 0-03 in favour of Ballyvourney at half time. The start of the second half proved to be a close affair, but in the last 15 minutes, Aghabullogue pulled away from Ballyvourney, showing great heart and determination and came out well deserved winners in the end on a scoreline of 0-09 to 0-07. They now meet Kilmurray in the Mid Cork Final. Congratulations to all on such a great performance.
