12/10/2013 Aghabullogue 3-06 Ballyhea/Milford 3-04

On what was a fantastic day for Aghabullogue Camogie Club, the U14 Girls were crowned U14 A League County Champions following an emphatic win over Ballyhea/Milford on Saturday, 12th October. The girls displayed unbelievable skill, tenacity and determination to overcome a strong Ballyhea/Milford side. This was a well deserved victory for the Aghabullogue girls after being defeated in the U14 A Féile final earlier in the summer by the narrowest of margins. With the Aghabullogue backs on top and the midfield pairing pushing forward, the forwards duly obliged scoring some impressive scores from all corners of the field. There was very little between the sides and at half time the score board read 3-02 to 1-03 in favour of Aghabullogue.

Aghabullogue continued to push on in the second half, again scoring some impressive and vital scores, but Ballyhea/Milford kept in touch and then towards the latter end of the second half, they reduced the margin to one point. The Aghabullogue girls showed great spirit and their never say die attitude ensured they were crowned 2013 U14A County league Champions. Great credit is due to the girls, their trainers & mentor’s, their parents and all supporters for achieving this fantastic honour. Well done to all involved!
