Aghabullogue Juniors continued on their winning streak in the Mid Cork Division 3 Football Final with a notable win over Iveleary
on Sunday, 30th October. The first half was a close affair, with Mark Long recording the first score of the game. Iveleary then matched this
with a point from play. Aghabullogue then recorded a further two points in the first half with Pat Walsh and Mark Long each recording a point from play.
Ian O'Sullivan pulled off two great saves for Aghabullogue, which kept Aghabullogue in the game but they trailed at half time on a scoreline of
0-06 to 0-03.
Aghabullogue started the second half strongly and recorded the first four points, which pushed Aghabullogue one point ahead. The sides then exchanged the next few scores and little was between them. With five
minutes to go, the sides were on level terms, however Aghabullogue pushed ahead with impressive scores from Mark long and Peter O'Riordan. Iveleary
managed to record another point, however with the Aghabullogue defense on top form, it was not enough to overcome a determined Aghabullogue side! The final whistle was blown and
Aghabullogue were crowned 2011 Junior B Football League Champions and Denis Finnegan lifted the cup on their behalf.
