Aghabullogue will now compete in the Intermediate Hurling Championship competition in 2013 following a defeat to Watergrasshill
in the Premier Intermediate Hurling relegation final on Saturday, 1st September. The first half was a very close affair and scores were exchanged between the sides, with the
Aghabullogue scores coming from John Corkery, Mark O'Flynn and John Buckley. At half time, there was only a point between the sides, 0-09 to 0-08 in favour of Watergrasshill and all was to play for.
Watergrasshill got the upper hand in the second half and despite the best efforts of the men in green and white, Watergrasshill extended their lead.
Mark O'Flynn and Dónal Twomey recorded scores for Aghabullogue, however it was not enough to overcome a determined Watergrasshill side. The final whistle was
blown and Watergrasshill ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-20 to 0-12.
