01/12/2013 Aghabullogue 0-12 Glanworth 1-06

Aghabullogue Intermediate Footballers qualified for the Intermediate Football County Final following a truely inspirational and true team performance victory over a fancied Glanworth side on Sunday, 1st December 2013.Glanworth scored 1-03 in the opening 4 minutes without reply from Aghabullogue. The men from Aghabullogue wearing the Muskerry jersey’s, however soon put an end to their dominance and outstanding scores from John Corkery and Patrick Finnegan saw Aghabullogue claw back the scoring difference and went in at half time on level terms on a score line of 0-07 to 1-04.

The second half performance by the youthful Aghabullogue side was emphatic and displayed the sheer dedication, heart and desire to win of the full panel and mentors involved. The backs were well on top and the Mid fielders continuously pushed forward. The forwards duly obliged and recorded many impressive scores both from play and placed ball. Patrick Finnegan, John Corkery and Mark Long got their name on the scoreboard for Aghabullogue and Aghabullogue ran out well deserved winners on a final scoreline of 0-12 to 1-06.
