Aghabullogue started their Intermediate Football campaign on a high note with an emphatic victory over Fermoy, in a match played in Ballyclough on Friday 14th May. Despite playing against the wind in the first half, Fermoy opened the scoring with 2 points. Aghabullogue responded with great points from Patrick Finnegan, John Hogan and John Corkery (two). Fermoy then added a goal and a point to their tally, leaving the score read at half time 1-03 to 0-05 in favour of Fermoy.
During the second half, the Aghabullogue men showed great skill and determination and got great scores courtesy of Patrick Finnegan (two) and Dan Twomey. They were unlucky not to score more with a number of shots hitting the post! Fermoy did score a point from a free in the second half but it was not enough to overcome the Aghabullogue men.A well deserved victory for the men in green and white!
