Aghabullouge retain their Premier Intermediate Football status following their great win over Delaneys in the Relegation Final Replay. The game played in Riverstick was again a close affair with Aghabullogue coming out on top following their determined and tenacious efforts.

John Hogan opened the scoring of the first half with a point from a free for Aghabullogue. He quickly followed this with a great point from play. Delaneys got their first score and then Patrick Finnegan added another point from play for Aghabullogue. Delaneys added another point but again Aghabullogue responded with a great point from Peter Kelleher. Ian O’Sullivan made a great save in the Aghabullogue goal to deny Delaneys a goal but Delaneys then responded by getting three points in a row. Rob O’Keeffe added the last score of the first half with a point from a free for Aghabullogue, leaving the score read 0-05 to 0-05 at half time.

Aghabullogue started the second half stronger and great points from play from Finnegan brothers, Kevin(two) and Patrick(two), gave Aghabullogue a four point advantage. Delaneys scored their first point of the second half before Patrick Finnegan added yet another great point from play. Delaneys added the next three points but Peter Kelleher then added the last score of the game to ensure a two point win for Aghabullogue. Final score read 0-11 to 0-09 in favour of Aghabullogue.
