Aghabullogue now face Delaneys in the Intermediate Football Relegation final following their defeat to Ballyclough on Sunday 19th July in Donoughmore. Ballyclough opened the scoring with a number of points from play and a great save from Ian O’Sullivan denied Ballyclough from adding a goal to their tally. John Hogan opened the scoring for Aghabullogue with a great point from play and William Harrington quickly added a bullet of a goal for the men in green and white. John Hogan added a further two points for Aghabullogue in the first half, leaving the half time score 2-05 to 1-03 in favour of Ballyclough.
The second half was just not meant to be for Aghabullogue, and despite four points from Peter Kelleher, Robert O’Keeffe and John Hogan (2), Ballyclough finished stronger, and when the full time whistle was blown, the scoreboard read 4-11 to 1-07 in favour of Ballyclough.
