The Aghabullogue Intermdiate Camogie Ladies added another great victory to their 2011 championship campaign, with an impressive win over
Ballyhea on Thursday 4th August in Whitechurch. Ballyhea did open the scoring with a point from play but this was the only time they lead throughout this well fought match.
Aghabullogue's opening score came from Mary Buckley, and with Caroline Kiely adding a superb total of 2-01 to Aghabullogue's tally, Aghabullogue took the lead and never looked back.
Sisters Emma Healy and Michelle Healy added a further 3 points(Emma - 2 free's) for Aghabullogue, leaving the half time scoreline read 2-05 to 0-04 in favour of the Aghabullogue women!
Throughout the second half, the ladies in green and white kept up their strong and skillful perfomance and some great scores were added from many of the Aghabullogue ladies!
Michelle Healy added another great goal for Aghabullogue and with Emma Healy unerring on the free's, Aghabullogue's lead grew greater! A long range shot from Aghabullogue mid fielder Tina Roche, ended up in the back of
the Ballyhea net and with further points coming from Mary Buckley and Maire O'Leary, Aghabullogue were well and truely on top. The game ended on a scoreline of 4-11 to 0-07 in favour of the Aghbaullogue ladies!
The Intermediate Camogie
Championship is played on a round robin basis and the Aghabullogue girls still
have to play Tracton. This game has been provisionally fixed for 23rd August. Further details will be available on the website
